On 15th of February, Zhang haoxuan, deputy director of the Investment Promotion Bureau of the Management Committee of Sino-Japan Innovation Cooperation Demonstration Zone led a team to the International and Regional Cooperation Center of the BJAST. Li Junkai, director of the International and Regional Cooperation Center, presided over the discussion. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges around cooperation in scientific and technological innovation.

At the meeting, Zhang Haoxuan introduced in detail the establishment background, location layout, industrial focuses, working mechanism and key work of Beijing Sino-Japan Innovation Cooperation Demonstration Zone. Beijing Sino-Japan Innovation Cooperation Demonstration Zone has formulated a three-year action plan in building a new carrier of two-way exchanges and cooperation, creating a new model of innovation and development cooperation, cultivating new clusters for the development of high-end industries, and building a new highland of reform and opening up in the capital. Zhang Haoxuan pointed out that as an important driving force for collaborative innovation in science and technology, the two sides can give full play to their respective comparative advantages and work together to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Li Junkai pointed out that the two sides can start from sharing think tank expert resources, jointly holding large-scale international activities and jointly carrying out party building activities to lay the foundation for in-depth cooperation, and finally jointly serve the construction of international science and technology innovation center, promote the high-quality development of the capital and the collaborative innovation of Beijing-Tianjin –Hebei region.
