On 25^th of September, the 2021 ZGC Forum announced the "Decision of the Beijing Municipal People's Government on Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Awards in 2020", 14 scientists and 150 achievements were awarded. Among them, the cooperation result of Beijing Research Center of Urban System Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing Municipal Engineering Research Institute and other units, "Underground Space Engineering Service Real-world Exploration and Emergency Response Key Technologies and Applications" won the second prize of the 2020 Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award . The director of the center, researcher Zhu Wei, assistant researcher Yang Yanying and researcher Zheng Jianchun ranked second, seventh and tenth respectively as the main contributors.

This achievement extracted the key elements of underground space collapse and disaster, invented a series of service real-life visual recognition and micro-core intelligent detection technology equipment, broke through the technical bottleneck of environmental feature extraction and other technical bottlenecks, and established a service evaluation and emergency response decision-making system that integrated exploration information. Through the promotion and application of the results in more than 30 cities across the country, a systematic analysis of "diseased points-facilities-space" had been realized, which provided technical means for the implementation of the safety concept of "prevention first, gated move forward", and effectively promoted the life management and refined management of urban operating infrastructure.
