On 24^th of September, The Unveiling Ceremony and the Reform and Innovation Work Meeting of the BJAST was held in the Beike Building. Fang Li, the secretary of the leading party member’s group of the BJAST, and Zheng Huanmin, the deputy secretary of the leading party member’s group and the president of BJAST, unveiled the new BJAST. Wang Li, the deputy secretary of the leading party member’s group and vice president of the BJAST, presided over the event. Shao Jinwen, Liu Qingjun, Lu Yuguo and Liu Ziliang, the leaders of the BJAST, attended the event.

Liu Qingjun read out the "Approval on the Reform of BJAST and Its Subsidiary Institutions" issued by the office of Organizational Setup Committee of Beijing Committee of the Communist Party of China, clarifying that the headquarter of the BJAST was a kind of comprehensive scientific research public institution directly under the municipal government, including 25 internal institutions and 6 independent legal person public institutions. He introduced the progress of the restructuring and reorganization of the BJAST’s affiliated enterprises and 12 BJAST affiliated enterprises had completed the company system reform.

Zheng Huanmin issued letters of appointment to the newly appointed directors and chairman representatives Wang Tong, Zhang Shiyun, Zhang Zhongguo, Yuan Xiaofeng, Li Junkai and Hou Tongxiao. Guo Lugang and Wang Tong, representatives from departments and affiliated units of BJAST, gave speeches.

In his speech, Fang Li emphasized that the unveiling ceremony was a new starting point for the BJAST's scientific and technological innovation journey. The workers of the BJAST should grasp this important development opportunity, shoulder the mission of making the country a powerful country in science and technology, and strive to contribute more to the innovation and development of the BJAST and the self-reliance of science and technology.
