In October, at the opening ceremony of the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ "Science and Technology Innovation Annual Tour 2020 Beijing Station", BJAST signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Bureau of Science Communication, Chinese Academy of Sciences. This is another landing measure taken by BJAST to actively promote the construction of the new Beijing Natural History Museum. Gao Hongjun, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Meng Qinghai, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, Liu Yinchun, Deputy Secretary-General of the Beijing Municipal Government, and Fang Li, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group of BJAST attended. Zheng Huanmin, President of the BJAST and Zhou Dejin, Director of the Bureau of Science Communication, Chinese Academy of Sciences, represented both parties to sign the agreement.

 According to the agreement, the two parties will carry out close cooperation in promoting the spirit of science, advancing science and culture, and building a platform for exchanges and cooperation in scientific research and popular science innovation. The Bureau of Science Communication, Chinese Academy of Sciences will support BJAST in advancing the construction of the Beijing Museum of Natural History, and promote the deepening of cooperation between the Natural Science Museum and the relevant institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. At the same time, the two parties will plan and implement high-quality and characteristic science popularization activities, strengthen cooperation in books, periodicals and other publications, and promptly disseminate the latest scientific and technological achievements to the public.

Liu Yinchun represented the important role of technological innovation in building a modern technological power. He believed that the Chinese Academy of Sciences has achieved significant tasks in serving the country's major needs and changed the expectations of the future development of the Natural Museum. He hoped that the BJAST and the Bureau of Science Communication, Chinese Academy of Sciences would cooperate in depth.

This tour will be located in the Beijing Museum of Natural History, focusing on important breakthroughs and achievements in the construction of "deep space", "deep sea", "deep land", "deep blue", "life science" and "ecological civilization".
