On August 13, BJAST Base and BJAST Think Tank held a seminar on the recent work. Fang Li, Party Secretary of BJAST, Director of BJAST Base and Head of BJAST Think Tank, attended and delivered a speech. Wang Li, Deputy Party Secretary of BJAST, Deputy Director of BJAST Base and Executive Vice President of the Council of BJAST Think Tank presided over the seminar.

At the seminar, after conveying the spirit of the Seventh Congress of Beijing Federation of Social Sciences and other meetings, stressing the requirements of leaders of Beijing Municipality such as Secretary Cai Qi and Minister Du Feijin for the construction of research bases and high-end think tanks, studying the specific requirements and completion status of assessment indicators by contrasting with the documents issued by the Publicity Department of Municipal Party Committee, Fang Li deployed the work such as this year’s research tasks of Capital High-end Think Tank and the application for Beijing Social Sciences Fund Program.

In his speech, Fang Li put forward four requirements for the construction of BJAST Base and BJAST Think Tank. First, we should adhere to the best standards in promoting the implementation of all work. Second, we should construct BJAST Base and BJAST Think Tank in combination of the requirements for assessment indicators. Third, we should join research efforts and mobilize all forces to maximize the superiority of BJAST Base and BJAST Think Tank, raise their research level and quality, as well as find a correct position in and make positive contributions in serving the construction of the National Center for Science and Technology Innovation and the high-quality development of Beijing. Fourth, we should strengthen the management and service capacity building of the Office of BJAST Base and the Secretariat of BJAST Think Tank.
