Recently, Fang Li, Secretary of Party Committee of the BJAST, and Guo Guangsheng, president of the BJAST, led a team to conduct cooperation and sign a strategic cooperation agreement with Beijing Association for Science and Technology in the Beijing Science Center. Ma Lin, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group of the BAST, Sima Hong, Standing Vice Chairman of the BAST, and Shao Jinwen, Vice President of the BJAST attended the meeting.

Sima Hong introduced the organizational structure and key tasks of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology. She said that she led a team to the BJAST for investigation and research. Both sides enhanced their understanding, broadened their cooperation ideas, and carried out work in the construction of science and technology think tanks with remarkable results. She hoped that both sides would further cooperation and jointly make greater contributions to the construction of the National Center for Science and Technology Innovation (NCSTI).

Guo Guangsheng introduced the reform and development of the BJAST. He pointed out that in the new era, the BJAST would further contact with the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, jointly create a new business card for "Popular Science in the Capital", promote the construction of a new type of think tank in the capital, jointly carry out scientific and technological personnel training and high-level construction societies, jointly promote scientific and technological innovation and popular science to develop, and serve the high-quality development of the capital and the construction of NCSTI.

At the signing ceremony, Fang Li and Ma Lin signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of the BJAST and the BAST respectively, showing that the signing marked a new stage of cooperation between both sides and had great importance for further consolidating and deepening the good cooperation relationship between both sides, serving the capital's economic construction and social development, and assisting the construction of NCSTI.
