BJAST and Tianjin Urban Construction Design Institute signed a cooperation agreement on the safe operation of urban infrastructure to jointly promote the intelligent management on safe operation of urban infrastructure on January 14. Shao Jinwen, Vice President of the BJAST, Han Zhenyong, Chairman of Tianjin Urban Construction Design Institute, and Zhang Zhenxue, President of Tianjin Urban Construction Design Institute attended the meeting.

According to the agreement, the two sides will take full advantage of urban infrastructure design and research on safety technologies, jointly build a research center for safe operation of urban infrastructure, and jointly carry out projects such as application basis research, development of key common technologies and transformation of scientific and technological achievements in urban bridges, roads, rail transit and other fields. Tianjin Urban Construction Design Institute will provide our Academy with pilot scale test, engineering application research, test site and other support.

Previously, the two sides have already engaged in docking on the intelligent management on the safe operation of urban infrastructure and have conducted in-depth discussions on the cooperation mode, cooperation content and team building. The signing of the agreement marks a new stage of cooperation between both sides, further enhance the scientific and technological innovation capabilities of both sides, promote the research, development and achievement transformation of our Academy in the fields of urban safety and social governance. This is of great significance for serving the Coordinated Development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region and assisting the construction of the National Center for Science and Technology Innovation.
