On December 13, the "Seminar on the High-quality Development of the Capital" sponsored by BJAST kicked off. Wang Yiming, deputy director of the Development Research Center of the State Council and other leaders attended the seminar. The seminar was organized by Beijing Decision-making Consultant Center, School of Environment, Tsinghua University and Beijing Research Center for Science of Science. Liu Qingjun, vice president of BJAST, presided over the speech and special report sessions.

Guo Guangsheng, president of BJAST, pointed out in his speech that to achieve the high-quality development of the capital, efforts should be made in innovative development, decrement development, cultural and technological integration and open development. Xi Jinying, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Environment, Tsinghua University, said in his speech that Beijing, as the capital, should play a leading role in China's high-quality development.  Beijing Research Center for Science of Science, together with the School of Environment, Tsinghua University, prepared the Report on High-quality Development Indexes of the Capital for active exploration.

Wang Yiming and Lyu Zheng, the Member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and deputy director of the Academic Division of Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, respectively, delivered special reports on the Promotion Path of China's High-quality Economic Development and the Analysis of Several Issues Concerning Beijing's High-quality Development. Yi Tong, director of Beijing Research Center for Science of Science, presided over the keynote report session. Jia Pinrong, a "BJAST Scholar", and research fellow of Beijing Research Center for Science of Science, reported his research achievements. The Report on High-quality Development Indexes of the Capital and the Report on High-quality Development of Environment in the Capital were released at the seminar.
