  • On November 19, Professor Ulf Helmersson of Sweden's Linköping University visited the Beijing Radiation Center. Professor Wang Wen, Executive Deputy Director, and Ou Yixiang and Luo Jun, Associate Researchers of the Beijing Radiation Center conducted international cooperative academic exchanges.

First of all, Wang Wen, on behalf of the Beijing Radiation Center, introduced the research progress in the field of plasma film deposition in recent years. Professor Helmersson's visit is a rare learning opportunity for teachers and students of the Beijing Radiation Center and demonstrated expectations for future cooperation and exchanges between China and Switzerland. Professor Helmersson spoke highly of the achievements made by the Beijing Radiation Center in the field of film deposition and looked forward for future cooperation.

Later, Professor Helmersson visited the laboratory of the Beijing Radiation Center, praised the laboratory's forward-looking contribution to HiPIMS, and made an academic report entitled Materials Design and Depositions Using HiPIMS. He described the practical application of HiPIMS on the principle, discharge, characteristics and other cases, and shared the research experience and results. In the question-and-answer session, the teachers and students on the spot showed enthusiasm for and responded actively to the characteristics of HiPIMS deposition process, the design idea of film layer, and the distribution of plasma during deposition. Professor Helmersson provided answers in patience, shedding new light on the scientific research work of the Beijing Radiation Center.
