• Li Dong, Director of Beijing Institute of Nutritional Resources, Won the 2019 -"Outstanding Contribution Award" of the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology’s Innovation Award

  • On November 13, the 2019 awarding ceremony of Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology’s Innovation Award was held in Wuhan. This year's awarding ceremony sets three special awards under the Award. Wu Qingping and other 11 winners of the Outstanding Contribution Award, 15 winners of the Outstanding Youth Award such as Wang Lifeng, and representatives of the winners of first-time Outstanding Paper Award from the Journal of Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology received the awards. Dr. Li Dong, Director of Beijing Institute of Nutritional Resources, won the "Outstanding Contribution Award".

    In the presence of more than 2,400 delegates, the reasons for 12 people winning the Outstanding Contribution Award and 15 people winning the Outstanding Youth Award were announced one by one. The award speech given to Dr. Li Dong by the Chinese Society of Science and Technology is that he is an "outstanding scientist for promoting basic research on food and health". In 30 years of scientific research practice, Li Dong has always pursued industrial demand and focused on the basic research and achievement transformation of food nutrition and health in China. Having led the team to provide food nutrition detection and evaluation services for more than 3,000 units, he is an excellent representative of frontline scientists who are down-to-earth in food and nutrition research.
