On October 21, the "Fifth International Forum on Senior Care Science and Innovation" sponsored by the BJAST and hosted by the Beijing Research Center of Urban System Engineering opened. In the two-day forum, more than 60 experts and scholars from scientific research institutes, institutions of higher learning, government departments and senior care enterprises in the United States, Britain, the Netherlands, India, Brazil, Taiwan, China and the mainland of China made keynote speeches on issues related to global active senior care, healthy senior care and intelligent senior care innovation. Nearly 400 senior care professionals attended the conference.

Fang Li, Secretary of Party Committee of the BJAST, delivered speeches. Shao Jinwen, Vice President of the BJAST, presided over the opening ceremony.

Fang Li pointed out in his speech that our Academy has held the "International Forum on Senior Care Science and Innovation" for five consecutive years. Over the past five years, the forum has set up a platform for exchanges and cooperation among researchers, scholars and practitioners in different fields around the world. On the basis of international forums and previous cooperation, our Academy will further strengthen cooperation, create an innovative ecosystem, carry out in-depth technical cooperation and collaborative innovation, and jointly contribute to solving the global population aging problem.

The forum is divided into seven sections, involving expert discussions on intelligent and healthy senior care technology, mentally retarded care technology, senior care innovation, investment and financing and commercialization models, intelligent and healthy senior care solutions and technical experiences of the BJAST, Taiwan community senior care and auxiliary treatment technologies, and Beijing's three-year action plan for scientific and technological senior care.

The Beijing Research Center of Urban System Engineering and the Loho House of the BJAST had jointly carried out the third phase of active collection of active senior care works. The development of the activity was received high attention and active participation from the elderly.

During the conference, the "2019 Academic Exchange Activities Seminar Roundtable on the Construction of Intelligent and Healthy Senior Care Innovation Network of the BJAST Science and Technology Week" and the "Beijing's Three-year Action Plan for Scientific and Technological Senior Care Roundtable" were held.
