The 2019 Parallel Forum of ZGC Forum, "Building a Global Innovation Network and a World-class Science City" was held on October 17. Sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission and the Chinese Academy of Science and Technology for Development, hosted by the Beijing Decision-making Consultant Center (BJAST Think Tank) and co-sponsored by the Zhongguancun Science Park Management Committee, the forum drew support from 11 units such as the American Journal of Science/the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Liu Yinchun, Deputy Secretary General of the Municipal Government, attended and delivered a speech. Xu Qiang, Party Secretary and Director of the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, delivered a keynote report under the theme of Understanding and Practice of Building a Science and Technology Innovation Center with Global Influence.

Professor Guo Guangsheng, President of the BJAST and Chief Expert of the BJAST Think Tank, released the "2019 Beijing National Science and Technology Innovation Center Index", and comprehensively introduced the compilation background, research methods and research conclusions of the Index.

In the high-end dialogue session, experts and government managers from different countries and regions respectively discussed the planning, construction, and operation and management of science cities and other issues on the practical experience in the construction and development of well-known science cities at home and abroad, such as Israel's Tel Aviv and Beijing's "Three Science Parks and One Development Area".
