• Delegation from the Invest in Catalonia of Spain Visited BJAST Think Tank

  • On July 29, Ana Simon, Deputy Minister of Innovation Department of the Invest in Catalonia of Spain, Marc Bonavia, Chief Representative of American Silicon Valley’s Representative Office, Gao Wei, Chief Representative of China Office, Tian Yi, the Innovation Director, Alfons Cornella, founder of the Infonomia Consulting Company of Spain, and Monica Alonso, the co-founder of the Infonomia Consulting Company, and their companions went to the BJAST Think Tank for conducting discussion and exchange. Li Junkai, director of the Division of International Cooperation of the BJAST, Zhang Shiyun, deputy director of the Council Office of the North Institute of Think Tanks and secretary of the General Party Branch of the Beijing Research Center for Science of Science, and others attended the discussion. Li Junkai presided over the meeting, and Alfons Cornella and Zhang Shiyun made thematic reports respectively.

    At the meeting, the two sides focused on issues such as the innovation environment, innovation policies and development of innovative enterprises in China and Spain, how the BJAST Think Tank affects the policy formulation in Beijing, and the future cooperation between the BJAST Think Tank and the Invest in Catalonia and Infonomia Company.

    The BJAST and the Invest in Catalonia already have good cooperative relations. At the 2019 China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), the two sides have reached an agreement on cooperation and will promote cooperation in joint research on innovative topics, mutual invitations to international conferences, training of innovative small and medium-sized enterprises, and innovative education, etc.
