On July 30, the BJAST received a commendation letter from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in South Sudan to Zhu Xiaofeng and Zhu Zuogang, two comrades of the Indoor Environment Test Center of the Beijing Municipal Institute of Labour Protection, giving them high praise for their work.

Entrusted by the Administrative Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, the Indoor Environment Test Center of the Beijing Municipal Institute of Labour Protection conducted an acceptance test on the indoor air quality of the office building of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in South Sudan. The leadership of the Beijing Municipal Institute of Labour Protection attached great importance to it and organized Zhu Xiaofeng, head of the Indoor Environment Test Center, and Zhu Zuogang, the technical backbone, to go to South Sudan to carry out the testing task from July 15 to 18. During the testing process, the two comrades worked out a sampling plan on the spot according to the indoor area of the embassy’s office building, and analyzed formaldehyde, benzene series and total volatile organic compounds (TVOC) in the indoor air of the office building through sampling according to the requirements of the testing project.

The two comrades adhered to a rigorous work style, worked overtime to carry out inspection work and successfully completed the inspection task despite various difficulties. Thanks to the efforts of them, the embassy building could come into use as scheduled.
