From July 8 to 12, at the invitation of the Center for the Promotion of Science, Serbia, Huang Lin, deputy director of the Beijing Exchange Center of Science and Technology, and Yue Tao, a researcher from the Beijing Municipal Institute of Labour Protection, as well as other colleagues, went to Belgrade, Serbia, to attend the 2019 Serbia Science Festival “Science Meets Parliaments” meeting and held exchanges and discussions with a number of relevant institutions.

During this period, the delegation held friendly talks with Institute of Physics Belgrade, Serbia, Science Foundation, Innovation Foundation, Center for the Promotion of Science, Serbia and other institutions respectively. The members of the delegation introduced the relevant information of the BJAST and scientific research achievements in environmental governance to various institutions, which were recognized by those institutions. They expressed their wish to maintain close contact with the BJAST and carry out in-depth cooperation on international technology transfer, science and technology exchange and cooperation, personnel exchange visits and other aspects.

As the only invited Asian representative, the delegation attended the Serbia Science Festival “Science Meets Parliaments” jointly sponsored by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre and Serbia's Ministry of Education and Science and Technology on July 10 at the National Assembly of Serbia in Belgrade. The Center for the Promotion of Science, Serbia hosted the event. Yue Tao gave a wonderful report on Beijing's air pollution control, which was warmly received by representatives from all countries.
