On May 19th, the 2019 "science and Technology Exchange Week" was launched at the China Soong Ching Ling Science & Culture Center for Young People. Huang Wei, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Hu Zhengyue, Vice President of the Song Ching Ling Foundation of China, Guo Guangsheng, President of the BJAST, and leaders of the General Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology attended.

This event is sponsored by the National Science and Technology Week Organizing Committee, as one of the sponsors, the Beijing International Science and Technology Service Center of the BJAST is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and guaranteeing the activities, more than 50 leaders and experts from the popular science and technology museum and scientific research institution of 13 countries, including Sweden, are invited to exhibit the achievements of popular science and scientific research, scientific experiment,  on-site science show and other activities. More than 140 exhibitions were launched in the exhibition, which promoted international cooperation and exchanges in science popularization through activities such as "science and arts".

The event focuses on enhancing the interaction of the exhibition projects, enhancing visitors' experience, enabling visitors to enjoy the charm of science and technology, making full use of the advantages of new media communication, so that the public can enjoy the excitement of the event whether they are present or not. The event was reported by many media, and 11 live broadcasting platforms carried out live broadcasting, more than 1 million people participated in the live broadcasting.
