• Beijing Institute of Nutritional Resources Participated in the 2019 International Forum on Food Safety and Health

  • From April 18 to 19, 2019, the 10th International Forum on Food Safety and Health was held. Under the theme of “Innovation-driven Food Safety and Health”, the conference focused on eight directions, responded to the hot and difficult issues in China’s food and health with innovative development, thoroughly discussed new problems in the field of international food safety and nutrition, and put forward scientific ideas and ways to solve food safety and health problems in China and even in the world. The State Administration for Market Regulation, the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China and other ministries and commissions have all given strong support to the conference. At the same time, representatives of seven international organizations and government agencies, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and more than 100 authoritative international experts from more than 20 countries and regions also attended the meeting.

    The conference topic 7- Food Nutrition and Health Forum II jointly sponsored by the Beijing Food Institute, the periodical office of Science and Technology of Food Industry and Beijing Institute of Nutritional Sources was held on April, 19th. Du Yang and other leaders from the Department of Academic Society of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology attended the meeting. This forum focuses on the industrial development of Foods for Special Medical Purpose (FSMP) and health food. Six experts from the government, hospitals, food enterprises and scientific research institutions brought the latest cutting-edge development trend in Foods for Special Medical Purpose (FSMP) and related health industries.

    The holding of the forum has given full play to the advantages of the Beijing Food Institute and the Beijing Institute of Nutritional Sources in the industry, further strengthened the exchanges and cooperation between the Beijing Food Association and national societies such as the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology, and has greatly enhanced its position and influence in the industry.
