• Beijing Center for Physical & Chemical Analysis of BJAST Held the First International Seminar on Analysis of Mineral Oils in Foods

  • On September 15th and 16th, the first International Seminar on Analysis of Mineral Oils in Food was held online by ZOOM. Under the guidance of BJAST, the seminar was held by the Beijing Center for Physical & Chemical Analysis, jointly undertook by Beijing Engineering Research Center of Food Safety Analysis and Beijing Exchange Center of Science and Technology and co-organized by Mars Global Food Safety Center and Esensing Analytical Technology Co., Ltd. Liu Qingjun, vice president of BJAST, delivered an opening speech.

    12 experts and scholars from China, Germany, France, Switzerland, Malaysia and other countries was invited to discuss the latest analysis technology, methods and risk assessment of mineral oil. Nearly 200 experts and scholars from domestic and international universities, research institutes, government departments, social organizations and enterprises attended the seminar.

    Liu Qingjun pointed out that the conference could enhance the public and the food industry's scientific understanding of mineral oil risks, and promote the rapid iteration of mineral oil analysis and testing technologies.

    During the conference, 12 domestic and overseas experts and scholars in the field of mineral oil analysis, including Dr. Wu Yanwen from the Beijing Center for Physical & Chemical Analysis, gave speeches.
