On June 10, Zhang Miao, Secretary of Party Committee and also the Vice President of the Municipal Federation of Social Science Circles as well as director of the Social Sciences Planning Office, together with Rong Dali, a member and also the Vice Chairman of Party Committee of the Municipal Federation of Social Science Circles as well as the Deputy Director of the Municipal Social Sciences Planning Office, with their delegation, went to BJAST to investigate the work of BJAST Base and BJAST Think Tank. Fang Li, Secretary of Party Committee, and Wang Li, Deputy Secretary of the Academy participated in the meeting.

Ren Xiaogang, as Executive Deputy Director of the Office of BJAST Base and Deputy Director of the secretariat of BJAST Think Tank, reported the achievements of BJAST Base and BJAST Think Tank in promoting the organization and enhancing its leadership since its establishment, and exchanged ideas on the key issues for future works.

Fang Li said that the fund of this base and think tank is a concrete measure to implement the decision and layout of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, which focuses on the key work of them, and serves the overall economic and social development, and has a great impetus on the soft science research of our Academy. In future days, BJAST will continue to play its role as a hub for advanced expert resources at home and abroad, and build BJAST Base and BJAST Think Tank into a decision making communication service platform among the government, research institutes and experts.

Zhang Miao said that in the future, the Federation of Social Science Circles will continue to support BJAST in building an open-up think tank and research base in light of its research advantages in the field of science and technology innovation, to play its role as a platform and increasingly attract experts and scholars at home and abroad to collect suggestions for the high-quality development of Beijing, so as to jointly build a Capital High-end Think Tank and the Beijing Research Center.
