On May 19, the BJAST International Forum Session IV of "The Coronavirus Pandemic & Global Changes" held on platforms of bilibili and Huya. The lecture was hosted by Li Junkai, Director of Foreign Cooperation Division of BJAST. Mr. John Hawkins, a famous British economist known as the father of world's creative industry, was invited to give a special lecture on "The Development of World's Creative Industry under the COVID-19 Outbreak".

Mr. Hawkins started with the huge impact caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, and predicted that the total output of global creative industry would change from steady growth to serious decline. In addition, he analyzed the enormous changes triggered by the unprecedented work-from-home in human history by focusing on four aspects of people, companies, office space and digital/online. He also made in-depth elaboration on the four development opportunities created by the outbreak to creative industry, including the revival of classic vitality, the emerging market of health and education, the market of local community art and culture, as well as the COVID-19 generation. The lecture was watched and praised by more than 50,000 viewers online. The viewers that said they benefited a lot from the lecture and had gained knowledge of the impact of the outbreak on creative industry and new opportunities for industrial development under the new situation.
