In 2020, COVID-19 spreads around the world, greatly threatening the lives, health and livelihood of billions of people in more than 200 countries, and severely impact global economic and industrial development. BJAST cooperated with Cambridge China Centre to organize a series of international courses of "Outbreak of COVID-19 and Global Change".
The "Outbreak of COVID-19 and Global Change" has total 9 courses. We have invited experts and scholars from China, UK, US, Canada, Germany, and Japan to interpret and share their opinions on the psychological health and the impact of the outbreak of COVID-19 on the economy, technology and industry. These courses were aired on bilibili from April 28 to June 23 at 7pm every Tuesday.
After preliminary preparation, the first course "China's economy under COVID-19" was aired on April 28. The course was hosted by Li Junkai, Director of BJAST Foreign Cooperation Division, and invited Prof. Yu Miaojie, famous economist, Secretary of Party Committee and Vice President of National School of Development at Peking University to interpret the impact of the outbreak of COVID-19 on China's economy, China's main policies to copy with the outbreak and the China and world economic pattern in the post-outbreak era in depth. The online course attracted more than 3,000 netizens, and made it to the homepage of bilibili on April 28.
