Recently, the results of the selection activity of the 15^th Beijing Youth Scientific Paper sponsored by the Beijing Association for Science and Technology was announced, the papers of Wu Naijin, Gou Yaling, Wu Yue and Dou Xiaoying, the researchers from the BJAST Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, as the first authors respectively were selected to the "Beijing Youth Scientific Paper". During the selection activity, the Environment Center has received 16 papers, among which, all four papers recommended to the Beijing Association for Science and Technology after the preliminary assessment were awarded.

The award-wining papers are "High Efficiency Removal of 1, 2-Dichloroethane from Groundwater by Microscale Zero-valent Iron Combined with Biological Carbon Source" by Wu Naijin (the first author, from the Environmental Protection Research Institute) on Environmental Science, "Microbial Abundance and Community Structure in Soil at a Typical Gas Station Site" by Gou Yaling (the first author, from the Environmental Protection Research Institute) on Environmental Science & Technology, "Enhanced treatment of petrochemical reverse osmosis concentrate by an electro-Fenton process with dosing H2O2 and aeration" by Wu Yue (the first author, from the Environmental Protection Research Institute) on Chemical Industry and Engineering Progress, and "AtTMEM18 plays important roles in pollen tube and vegetative growth in Arabidopsis" by Dou Xiaoying (the first author, from the Radiation Center) on Journal of International Plant Biology.
