On December 4, the "2019 China Fire Protection Association - Fire Protection Science Popularization and Education Forum" and "the Third Session of the Seventh Committee of Popular Science & Public Education Committee of CFPA" hosted by China Fire Protection Association and Popular Science & Public Education Committee of CFPA kicked off in Beijing. Zhu Wei, director of Beijing Research Center of Urban System Engineering, attended and addressed the forum.

During the forum, the Beijing Research Center of Urban System Engineering was honored as an "Advanced Unit of National Fire Science Popularization and Education Series Activities in 2019". It is reported that a total of six units were granted this honorary certificate. This honor represents an affirmation of the Beijing Research Center of Urban System Engineering in fire protection science popularization and education. In recent years, the Beijing Research Center of Urban System Engineering has based on Beijing Popular Science Education Base and in combination with the development of fire protection science and technology and the public's needs for fire safety, reached out communities and schools, actively carried out fire safety science popularization and yielded good outcomes.
