On October 14, the "Beijing Academy of Science and Technology's 'Cultural Integrating with Science and Technology' Academic Seminar and 'Science and Technology Week' Opening Ceremony" was held. Leaders such as Wang Yefei, Deputy Minister of the Publicity Department of CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, and many foreign scholars attended the conference. Among the attendees were Fang Li, Secretary of Party Committee of BJAST, Guo Guangsheng, President of the BJAST, and other members of the Academy's leadership. Wang Li, Lu Yuguo and Liu Qingjun, leaders of the Academy, presided over the relevant procedures of the conference.

Before the conference, Wang Yefei, Yang Dongqi, Yu Aijing, Fang Li and Guo Guangsheng jointly launched the showroom of the BJAST. Later, the participants visited the showroom.

At the conference, Guo Guangsheng delivered a speech at the opening ceremony and said that the "Science and Technology Week of the BJAST" is a landmark activity and an important carrier for the BJAST to be fully involved in the construction of the National Science and Technology Innovation Center and Cultural Center. Through the annual "Science and Technology Week of the BJAST", the BJAST can publicize and display its scientific and technological achievements, carry out academic conferences and popular science activities, disseminate scientific and technological concepts, carry forward scientific spirit and enrich the cultural atmosphere of innovation.

Wang Yefei, Yang Dongqi, Yu Aijing, Fang Li, Guo Guangsheng, Wang Li and other leaders turned on the starter ball for the establishment of the science and technology communication service platform of the BJAST. Zeng Qingyu, Director of the joint office meeting of the platform, chairman of the publishing house and secretary of party general branch, introduced the platform organization and operation mode. Yang Dongqi and Fang Li unveiled the "Beijing Intellectual Property Application Practice Base". Shao Jinwen and Li Zhong signed strategic cooperation agreements on behalf of the BJAST and the Municipal Intellectual Property Office respectively. On behalf of the Intellectual Property Office, Li Zhong presented the "service package" of intellectual property to the BJAST.

Wang Yefei, on behalf of the Publicity Department of Municipal Party Committee, showed supports to the development of the "Science and Technology Communication Service Platform of the BJAST" and would provide professional and high-quality science and technology publishing and communication services for the coordinated development of the capital and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region. Yang Dongqi said, the Municipal Intellectual Property Office will carry out all-round cooperation with the BJAST and fully support its property rights and marketization of various scientific research achievements.

At the conference, Jin Yuanpu, Yu Aijing, Liu Bing and Yi Tong and other experts made special reports to communicate with the participants.

The "Science and Technology Week of the BJAST (2019)" lasted for one week, covering a series of academic exchange activities, popular science exhibition activities and laboratory opening experience activities.
