• Professor Hasegawa Saint Hugh from University of Tsukuba Visited the Center of Urban System Engineering for Exchange and Discussion

  • From October 9 to 14, Professor Hasegawa Saint Hugh and Dr. Matsuura of University of Tsukuba were invited to the Beijing Research Center of Urban System Engineering for exchange and discussion. Shi Yanqin, Secretary of Party General Branch of the Center, presided over the academic report conference. Relevant scientific research professionals attended the lectures and participated in the balance ball training guidance activities.

    Professor Hasegawa is a special expert on school health and sports in Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, and on the "Revitalization Plan" of the Japanese government, and the Chairman of Japan's G Ball (Balance Ball) Association.

    He respectively explained the topics of "Research and Development of Health Promotion Campaign for the Elderly to Prevent Falls" and "Assistance and Guidance for the Physical and Mental Health Recovery of Fukushima Residents after the Great East Japan Earthquake", and shared many practical cases, opening up new ideas for the scientific research work of the Center, especially for the elderly fall intervention, assistance for special groups after the disaster and other fields.

    In the training guidance of balance ball, Professor Hasegawa instructed researchers how to use the balance ball to carry out balance ability training and how to safely and scientifically guide the elderly to carry out fall prevention training. It is of guiding significance for the Center to carry out research on the prevention and intervention of the falls of the elderly, improve their balance ability and reduce the risk of falls.
