Recently, Guo Guangsheng, president of the BJAST, led a delegation to the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences to conduct research and exchanges on further strengthening the cooperation between the two institutions and further promoting the integration and innovation of scientific and technological resources in central and local areas. Zhang Deqing, director of the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wang Dujin, secretary of the Party Committee, Mao Lanqun, former deputy director and researcher of the Beijing National Laboratory for Molecular Sciences, and Shao Jinwen, vice president of the BJAST attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Zhang Deqing gave a detailed introduction to the development process, main research fields, scientific research organization structure and achievements in promoting local industrial development of the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and he expressed his hope to carry out comprehensive strategic cooperation with the BJAST.

Guo Guangsheng introduced the reform and development of the BJAST in recent years, and pointed out that the two sides should further deepen cooperation, closely focus on serving the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and the strategic positioning of the capital, give full play to their respective advantages, strengthen scientific and technological innovation cooperation from the aspects of personnel training, cooperative research and development, scientific popularization, achievement transfer and transformation, etc. Besides, the two side shall promote the combination of science and economy, build a regional collaborative innovation community, and make contributions to the coordinated development strategy of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and the construction of a national scientific and technological innovation center.
