On May 25, the first session of the 2023 Beijing Science Popularization Practitioners Capacity Improvement Training was held at the main venue of the National Science and Technology Activity Week and Beijing Science and Technology Week. The training was hosted by Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park Management Committee, specifically organized by Beijing Computing Center Co., Ltd., and supported by Science Communication Center of BJAST. More than 100 trainees, including members of the Beijing Science Popularization Joint Conference, science and technology administrative departments of various districts, science and technology commissions at all levels and science popularization management staff of the Science and Information Technology Bureau, attended the event.

Professor Wu Jianmin, Deputy Secretary of the leading party members’ group and President of the BJAST, gave the first lecture of the training. President Wu made a report around "Planning and Path of China's Scientific and Technological Innovation and Development in the New Era", introducing China's scientific and technological innovation and development from 10 aspects.
