On March 9, Lei Hong, President of Chongqing Academy of Science and Technology, visited Beijing Academy of Science and Technology for investigation. Fang Li, secretary of the leading party members’ group of the academy, met with Lei Hong, and then the two sides held a discussion and exchange, Shao Jinwen, member of the leading party members’ group and vice president of the academy, presided over the meeting, and Liu Qingjun, member of the leading party members’ group and vice president of the academy, attended the meeting and participated in the investigation.

On behalf of the BJAST, Fang Li welcomed Lei Hong's arrival. He pointed out that the BJAST and the Chongqing Academy of Sciences have a deep brotherhood. It is hoped that the two sides will strengthen exchanges, give play to their respective advantages, exploit innovative growth potential, and make greater contributions to each integration into the construction of science and technology innovation centers and serve the high-quality development of local areas.

The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on deepening the reform and innovation of scientific research institutions, strengthening incentives for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, optimizing the training mechanism for scientific research talents, and improving the scientific research management model. Lei Hong also visited and investigated the Institute of Analysis and Testing, Beijing Institute of Electro-machining Co., Ltd. and Beijing Planetarium.
