• The BJAST was visited by the Beijing Emergency Management Bureau for Exchange

  • On February 17, Tang Wei, Director of the Science and Technology and Information Technology Division of the Beijing Emergency Management Bureau, and Jiang Bo, Director of the Rescue Coordination and Plan Management Division, led a team to the BJAST for research and discussion. Shao Jinwen, a member of the leading party members’ group and Vice President of the Academy of Sciences, attended the meeting, and Zhu Wei, Director of the Division of Scientific Research of the BJAST, presided over the meeting.

    The team was introduced the development of science and technology think tanks and soliciting the topics of think tanks, as well as the research work, achievements and scientific and technological support jointly carried out with the Beijing Emergency Management Bureau in the field of emergency management in recent years. The bureau and its team fully affirmed the supporting role played by the BJAST for the emergency management work in Beijing, and put forward the requirements for this year's key tasks, including the modernization of emergency plans and the further optimization of the emergency command and decision-making information system. The two sides also had in-depth exchanges on specific measures to implement the signed strategic cooperation framework agreement.

    Shao expressed his hope to establish a normalized demand matching mechanism with the Beijing Emergency Management Bureau, give full play to the advantages of the combination of hardware and software of the BJAST, integrate the scientific and technological forces of the whole academy to provide support for the strategic cooperation.
