On October 28, Wei Wanshun, member of Leading Party Members’ Group and Vice President of BJAST, led a team to the Institute of Zoology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for research and discussion, and had a meeting with Zhan Xiangjiang, the Deputy Director of the Institute and others on the scientific research cooperation of Milu protection.

Wei expressed his hope to improve genetic management and strengthen international cooperation and talent team building through mutual cooperation. Bai Jiade, Secretary and Director of the General Party Branch of Beijing Milu Ecological Research Center, introduced Milu protection in all aspects, and proposed cooperation intentions from "Shenlu No.1" (tentative) gene bank construction, optimization of Milu genetic genes management, international cooperation and talent team construction.

The two sides had in-depth exchanges on project cooperation application, tutor appointment, talent exchange, museum construction and other aspects of cooperation, and reached preliminary consensus. Next, they will sort out the cooperation contents, assign specific personnel for exchanges, sign strategic agreements to promote the implementation of various cooperation as soon as possible, and the development of Milu protection.
