• Beijing Museum of Natural History and Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences Signed a Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement

  • On September 7, Zhan Renbin, Director of Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Yang Tao, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology led a team to the Beijing Museum of Natural History for investigation and signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement.

    They visited the exhibition halls and temporary exhibition halls, and had an in-depth study of the scientific research achievements, characteristic exhibition concept embodied in the exhibitions and the multi-integrated scientific communication work exhibitions of the Beijing Museum of Natural History in recent years. Afterwards, in the Tianjiabinglou Biological Specimen Museum, the guests investigated the collection warehouses of birds, large mammals, paleontology and other collections of the Beijing Museum of Natural History.

    Fang Li, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group of the BJAST, pointed out that the further close cooperation between the two institutions will inject new vitality into scientific research, collections gathering, exhibition design, popular science research and development, etc. The transformation of scientific research achievements and the dissemination of scientific culture have effectively promoted the high-quality construction and development of museums. In the future, the two sides will actively carry out exchanges and cooperation to jointly promote the improvement of the scientific quality of the whole people.
