Recently, the office of Beijing Municipal Natural Science Foundation Committee issued the notice on Issuing the Decision on the Application for Project Funding of General and Youth Science Foundation in 2022, and decided to fund 962 projects, including 807 general projects, 40 general special projects and 115 Youth Science Foundation projects, with a funding of 184.47 million yuan.

Seven affiliated units and internal institutions of the BJAST, including the Institute of Urban Safety and Environmental Sciences, the Institute of Analysis and Testing, the Institute of Resources and Environment, Beijing Museum of Natural History, the Institute of Radiation Technology, the Institute of Urban Systems Engineering and the Institute of Intelligent Elderly Care, have received a total of 11 project grants, a new high in recent years, including 6 general projects and 4 youth projects with a total subsidy of 1.6 million yuan and participation in one general special project.

The BJAST has long insisted on encouraging original innovation, actively organized and mobilized project application, and continuously optimized training and guidance, which has achieved good results. We will continue to strengthen the service communication and docking guidance of competitive projects, strengthen the publicity and training of policies, continuously enhance the scientific and technological R & D ability, lead the innovation and development, and strive to achieve the main innovation objectives of the 14th Five Year Plan.
