From 26^th to 27^th of July , more than 20 people, including the principals of 7 project schools funded by the Practical Education Foundation, the Bureau of Education and Sports, the Bureau of Science and Technology of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Hunan Province and the Practical Education Foundation, visited the Beijing Planetarium and the Beijing Museum of Natural History for investigation and research. Fang Li, the secretary of the leading party member’s group of the BJAST, and Lu Yuguo, the leader of the BJAST, participated in the research activities of the Beijing Planetarium and the Beijing Museum of Natural History respectively.

The Foundation delegation visited the exhibition halls of the Beijing Planetarium and the Beijing Museum of Natural History, as well as the animal specimen warehouse, listened to the overview of the two venues and the introduction of the "mobile popular science car" brand activities, and learned about and experienced the science resources of BJAST. Tian Yong, the secretary of the leading party member’s group and the director of the Xiangxi Education and Sports Bureau, said that he had a lot of experience in studying in Beijing this time, which further strengthened his confidence and determination to improve the quality of education in Xiangxi.

At the meeting, Comrade Zhu Yu, the chairman of the Practical Education Foundation, introduced that the Foundation is exploring the use of science and technology to promote the sharing of high-quality popular science resources, building a platform for children in remote mountainous areas and old revolutionary areas to learn science and love science, and create an environment. On behalf of the Foundation, Lian Yong, the supervisor of the Practical Education Foundation, expressed his gratitude for the support of the Beijing-Hebei-Practical Educational Science Popularization of Natural Astronomy into the Campus jointly launched by the BJAST and the foundation in April this year. He hoped that the foundation will further cooperate with the BJAST to expand the activities of popularizing natural astronomy science into campus to Xiangxi of Hunan Province and other practical education program schools, and radiate surrounding schools.

Fang Li said that BJAST will continue to cooperate with the foundation to do a good job of popularizing science into campus activities in Beijing, Xiangxi of Hunan province, and other old revolutionary areas and remote mountainous areas, realizing the sharing of high-quality popular science education resources, and maximizing the release of the science popularization ability of the BJAST.

The two museums respectively presented short video courses such as "scientific enlightenment" series animation short video, "planet's world" and "collection talking" to the foundation and seven project schools in Xiangxi Prefecture.
