On 20th May, the demonstration project of R & D and application of intelligent system for risk monitoring and early warning of Winter Olympic food supply chain of the 2020 National Key R&D Program Science and Technology Winter Olympics Special Project undertaken by the BJAST held a Winter Olympics Food Safety Emergency Assurance Technology Seminar, and invited technical leaders and experts of food safety emergency support from eight units including the Food Evaluation Center of the State Administration for Market Regulation to participate in the meeting. Liu Qingjun, vice president of BJAST, attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the research team reported on the research and development progress of the risk monitoring and early warning intelligent system for food supply chain of the Winter Olympic Games undertaken by BJAST and its application demonstration in the test competition of the Winter Olympic Games in February and April.

Liu Qingjun pointed out that the Winter Olympics food supply chain risk monitoring and early warning intelligent system developed by the BJAST, which comprehensively utilizes big data and other scientific and technological means, provides a more systematic solution for the 2022 Winter Olympics food safety risk prediction and early warning and rapid emergency response. Whether the plan can be applied to the Winter Olympics food safety assurance management is the core goal of the subject.

Subsequently, Zhou Xiaofeng, director of the Emergency Management Department of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Market Supervision, suggested that the system further refine the relevant technical procedures for emergency plans to facilitate the operation and use of grassroots emergency management personnel. The person in charge of grassroots emergency management technology hopes to use this system to improve the standardization of the business management of grassroots law enforcement personnel. Zhang Weimin, chief physician of the China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment, said that the project combines the R&D with the demonstration, which is practical, and it is hoped that the regulatory authorities could provide further guidance to support the implementation of the system in food safety assurance from the administrative level.

Participating experts exchanged views on food safety emergency support  technology for the Winter Olympics Games. In the future, the BJAST will go to Zhangjiakou Administration for Market Regulation to carry out research and improve the system in combination with Zhangjiakou's food safety emergency support needs, and promote the implementation and application of the system in food safety assurance work of the three competition areas of the two places in the Winter Olympic Games.
