From 26^th to 30^th April , the public welfare activity of "Beijing-Hebei Practical Aid--Natural Astronomy Science Popularization into Campus" was held in Boye County and Fuping County of Baoding City, Hebei Province. The activity was jointly sponsored by the Practical Education Foundation, Beijing Academy of Science and Technology, and Hebei Education Department, with the participation of Beijing Museum of Natural History and Beijing Planetarium.

On 26^th April, the opening ceremony was held at Baita Mingde Primary School in Boye County. Zhu Rui, chairman of the Practical Education Foundation, and Lu Yuguo, leader of the BJAST, attended the opening ceremony. On behalf of the BJAST, Lu Yuguo pointed out in his speech at the opening ceremony that the Beijing-Hebei Science Popularization Campus Tour is the implementation of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech and the specific practice of the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei by the BJAST. It is hoped that the seeds of scientific curiosity will be planted in the hearts of children through activities, so that they can learn more about scientific knowledge, master scientific methods and enhance scientific literacy. Li Li, Secretary of Party General Branch of the Beijing Museum of Natural History, presented 15 scientific video short films "The Collection Is Talking" developed by the Beijing Museum of Natural History to the Practical Education Foundation and four schools.

The science popularization workers of Beijing Museum of Natural History and Beijing Planetarium have brought some science popularization activities for local teachers and students, such as "The Return of the Mesozoic King". In the form of diversified and multi-level science popularization services, the activities broadened students' horizons, stimulated their interest in learning, spread scientific knowledge, carried forward scientific spirit, publicized scientific ideas and methods, and won the unanimous praise of teachers and students. According to statistics, a total of more than 7,000 teachers and students from 15 schools visited the experience.
