On April 12, the 2021 training course for improving the internationalization level of scientific research personnel of BJAST was started. The training was co-sponsored by the BJAST’s Division of International Cooperation and the Training Center. There were 40 students from BJAST and its 13 affiliated units to participate the training, including the specialists of BJAST’s Go-Global international cooperation specialist team, the personals of senior interpreter teams and key members from scientific research backbone and international cooperation project team from various BJAST’s institutes.

The training mainly covered three parts: oral English exchange, interpretation ability improvement and international scientific research cooperation ability improvement in international communication..Among them, the two parts of oral and interpretation were co-organized with the International Talents Institute of Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, Beijing Foreign Studies University. In the future, BJAST will also organize lectures on international etiquette and international scientific research cooperation ability improvement.

Jia Yi, the president of International Talents Institute and the project leaders of the Division of International Cooperation and the Training Center attended the opening ceremony and introduced the training arrangements and other aspects respectively. Afterwards, Professor Mark Levine, a famous expert in oral English and speech teaching, who won the Chinese Government Friendship Award and the Great Wall Friendship Award, and a doctor of sociology, taught oral English communication course.
