Recently, the Beijing Institute of Nutritional Sources has made fruitful results in the field of detection and R&D of formula food for special medical purposes. Among them, the "Technical Research on Production License Examination of Formula Food for Special Medical Purposes" participated in the completion by the Nutrition Analysis and Testing Center won the third prize of "Hebei Province Science and Technology Award - Science and Technology Progress Award" in 2020 issued by the People’s Government of Hebei Province, and the "Key Technology and Production Design of Full Nutrition Dairy Production of Formula Food for Special Medical Purposes" presided over the completion by the Special Food R & D Center won the third prize of "Capital Workers' Independent Innovation Achievements" in 2020 issued by Beijing Federation of trade unions.

The "Technical Research on Production License Examination of Formula Food for Special Medical Purposes" project has cooperated with Hebei Food Inspection and Research Institute since 2016. It takes formula food for special medical purposes as the research object and aims at the weak links in the research of supervision, production and inspection of special medical food in China, and the lack of specific regulatory basis for the production license examination of special medical food to carry out special medical food production license examination technology research. The project drafted 1 compulsory national technical regulation, revised 1 mandatory national standards, published 2 monographs, published 6 papers, and established 5 testing methods. The research results are advanced, scientific and practical.

At present, this achievement has developed 5 kinds of liquid special medical foods for relevant enterprises, designed 1 production line of liquid special medical food, and applied for 1 national invention patent. It provides strong technical support for the production of special medical food, which has promotion value.
