In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the instructions of general secretary Xi Jinping on supporting Beijing’s Construction of a Comprehensive Demonstration Zone for Expansion and Opening-up of the National Service Industry and the construction of the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone (hereinafter referred to as the "two zones"), the Beijing Research Center for Science of Science  undertakes and actively promotes research on the subject of "The Path Exploration and Practice of the Whole Chain Policy System for the Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements in China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone Science and Technology Innovation Zone".

On January 25, the BJAST and Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission jointly organized a "Two Zones" scientific and technological achievements transformation research work promotion meeting. Xu Xinchao, the member of the Leading Party Member’ Group and deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Wang Li, deputy secretary of the Leading Party Member’ Group and deputy president of the BJAST, as well as research team members and external experts attended the meeting. The Beijing Research Center for Science of Science reported on the research foundation and future ideas. Xu Xinchao spoke highly of the preliminary work of the Beijing Research Center for Science of Science and raised expectations for the research tasks. Wang Li said that the BJAST will fully support the research work and put forward requirements for the research team.

Under the guidance of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Yi Tong, director of the Beijing Research Center for Science of Science, took the lead in formulating the "Two Zones" Scientific and Technological Achievement Transformation Project Work Plan, established a project leadership group, which consists of four work promotion groups including universities, institutes, enterprises and overall planning, clarified the work objectives, priorities, and responsibilities of each group, and promoted the detailed implementation of various research tasks.

In the next step, the Beijing Research Center for Science of Science will comprehensively organize and launch expert seminars and visits and surveys, select suitable cases of achievement transformation, form an implementation plan for promoting the implementation of the case, assist in promoting the transformation of selected cases in Haidian District, and propose measures to promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
