On 26^th November, Liu Jinzhen, Party Secretary of Beijing School, and Yin Jun, Vice Principal of Beijing School, went to the BJAST for work exchanges. The two sides conducted in-depth research and discussion on future cooperation in scientific and technological innovation. Fang Li, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group of BJAST, attended the seminar.

At the meeting, the general situation of the science popularization resources of BJAST was first introduced. Relevant persons in charge of the Beijing Museum of Natural History, Beijing Planetarium and Milu Park respectively explained the resource advantages and work done by each unit in carrying out the popularization of scientific knowledge among teenagers.

Liu Jinzhen introduced that Beijing School hopes to expand and in-depth cooperation with the BJAST in the field of popular science to improve students' scientific literacy, to strengthen the training of young teachers, to radiate the construction of surrounding cities, and to build a scientific and technological innovation education base.

During the seminar, the two sides exchanged views on improving the quality of science education for students, and determined that they would cooperate in popularizing science into school, so as to complement each other's strengths and establish the "BJAST Innovation Education Base". Both parties agreed to implement the details of cooperation as soon as possible and make preparations for the start-up.

Fang Li put forward specific requirements for units in the field of science popularization of BJAST to concentrate social forces and integrate science popularization resources of BJAST to serve the construction of Beijing's urban sub-center. He pointed out that the BJAST has first-class popular science education resources in the country and Beijing school has high-quality basic education resources. The two sides use their respective advantages to cooperate and work together to plan for the improvement of the quality of youth education. This is an important duty that we should perform.

After the meeting, the Beijing school team went to the Beijing Planetarium to conduct field research.
