• BJAST held "The Sixth International Forum on Senior Care Service and Innovation"

  • From 19th to 20th November, "The Sixth International Forum on Senior Care Service and Innovation" was successfully held, and it was hosted by BJAST and undertaken by the Beijing Research Center of Urban System Engineering. This forum was held online. During the conference, nearly 1,000 people registered online to participate in the conference, and more than 10,000 people watched it. The theme of this forum is "Smart Health and Aged Care in the Context of the Covid-19 Epidemic and the New Technology Cycle". The purpose is to exchange the latest developments and models of smart health and elderly care in countries around the world under the background of the COVID-19 and new technology cycle. Nearly 50 experts and scholars from scientific research institutes, universities, government departments and enterprises in the UK, the Netherlands, Brazil, Spain, Australia, Russia, Japan, India and China delivered keynote speeches on topics related to global smart health and elderly care innovation.

    Fang Li, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group of BJAST, Li Hongbing, Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs, and Mr. Peter Bootsma, Health, Welfare and Sports Counselor of the Dutch Embassy in China, addressed the conference. The 99-year-old professor Wu Cangping, an honorary first-class professor of Renmin University of China, gave a special lecture. Shi Yanqin, Secretary and Zhu Wei, Director of the Beijing Research Center of Urban System Engineering attended and presided over the forum.

    Fang Li pointed out that the research on elderly service innovation is one of the key development directions of the BJAST. As a landmark activity of important domestic and foreign cooperation in the field of aging science and technology in the "BJASTs Health Center", the forum is dedicated to scientific researchers and researchers in different fields around the world every year. Scholars and practitioners build a platform for exchanges and cooperation. This year, in the context of the impact of the new crown epidemic and the new technology cycle, it is of great significance to hold this forum.

    The forum is divided into eight sections, covering international progress in the field of elderly care under the background of the COVID-19 epidemic, Japan's smart health and elderly care and Sino-Japanese cooperation, Taiwan's smart health and elderly care and cross-strait cooperation, policy talents and standards, smart health and elderly care technology, and BJASTs elderly care research exhibit with practical results, elderly health and safety, dementia care technology.
