On August 19, Vice President Dan Blumberg and his party from the Ben-Gurion University of the Negv in Israel visited the BJAST. On behalf of the BJAST, President Guo Guangsheng extended warm welcome to Vice President Dan Blumberg and his party.

Guo Guangsheng pointed out that he was deeply impressed by the Ben-Gurion University of the Negv during his visit to Israel in 2018. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 35th anniversary of the founding of the BJAST. The return visit of the Ben-Gurion University of the Negv in this important time fully reflects the traditional friendship between the two countries, and reflects the great importance that the Ben-Gurion University has attached to its cooperation with our academy. Our academy will, as always, actively support and promote all-round exchanges and cooperation between the whole academy and its affiliated units and the Ben-Gurion University of the Negv, give full play to the advantages of scientific and technological innovation and build an international cooperation platform.

Dan Blumberg briefly introduced the academic and scientific research advantages of the Ben-Gurion University of the Negv and looked forward to the future cooperation with the BJAST. He said that the Ben-Gurion University of the Negv, as a well-known institution of higher learning in Israel, is willing to cooperate with the BJAST in areas such as smart cities in the spirit of exchanges and mutual learning. The cooperation agreement to be signed soon will start the prelude of all-round cooperation between the two sides and lay the foundation stone for further cooperation.

Guo Guangsheng said that he would make in-depth contact with the Ben-Gurion University of the Negv through exchanges and visits of scientific and technical personnel and joint special training. He also hoped to make full use of the Ben-Gurion University’s advantages in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship to carry out our academy’s special overseas training program on innovation and entrepreneurship in Israel next year.
