On June 28, the BJAST held the Conference for Informatization Promotion to study and deploy the network security and information work of the BJAST in the new era. All members of the academy’s leadership team attended the conference.

The conference invited Chen Guihong, deputy director of the Beijing Information Resources Management Center, and Li Fenghua, researcher of the Institute of Information Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, to respectively make thematic reports on the development of Beijing's information technology, the current evolution of information technology, the innovation of information service modes, and the challenges they pose to network security.

On behalf of the information leading group of the academy, Vice President Xie Wei  made a report to the conference entitled “Building Digital BJAST, Creating Intelligent Research Institute, and Promoting Scientific and Technological Innovation Ability and Management Service Level in an All-round Way” on the information construction work. Huang Jinsong, director of the Scientific Research and Development Department (the BJAST’s Network Information Office), Liu Tong, director of the BJAST’s Computing Center (Information Center), and Zhao Shuang, director of the Publicity Department respectively introduced the Measures for the Administration of Network Security and Information Work of BJAST, the Network Security and Information Construction Plan of BJAST (2020-2025) and the trial operation of WeChat public account of the BJAST. Vice President Shao Jinwen read out the Decision on the Establishment of Information Center of the BJAST.

Secretary Fang Li and President Guo Guangsheng unveiled the establishment of the Information Center of BJAST. All the leaders of the academy jointly launched the Computing Information Service Platform of BJAST.

During the meeting, more than 200 participants studied the Administrative Measures and discussed the Work Report and the Construction Plan. Guo Guangsheng made a concluding speech entitled Do not Forget Your Original Aspiration, Keeping in Mind the Mission, Actively Integrating into the Information Revolution and Striving to Create a New Situation of Innovation and Development in the BJAST. He demanded that the whole academy should aim at improving scientific and technological innovation capability, comprehensively improve the informatization level of scientific research activities, promote the exchange, collection and sharing of scientific and technological resources, reform scientific research organizations and activity modes, and promote the transformation of scientific and technological innovation. Moreover, the whole academy shall also strengthen the awareness of information technology, highlight the characteristics of information technology research, strengthen the integration and application of information technology, open the way in the hardware environment, and vigorously promote the construction of scientific research information infrastructure.
