On June 27, the headline “People’s Essentials” in the theoretical edition of People’s Daily published a signed article Driving High-quality Development with Scientific and Technological Innovation by Professor Guo Guangsheng, President of the BJAST and Chief Expert of Beijing Decision-making Consultant Center as the first author.

The article points out that innovation is the first driving force for development. Driving high-quality development with scientific and technological innovation is the key to implementing the new development concept and solving the outstanding contradictions and problems in the current economic development. It is also an important starting point for accelerating the transformation of the development mode, optimizing the economic structure and transforming the growth power. It is necessary to promote the deep application of big data technology, to promote the development of intelligent manufacturing with scientific and technological innovation, and to adhere to the combination of scientific and technological innovation and industrial development, so as to promote the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and the real economy.
