On April 16, the third batch of the Catalogue of Supply of Domestic High-grade CNC Machine Tools in Military Industry of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense was released at the 2019 Symposium on Domestic CNC Machine Tools in Military Industry. The successful selection of the N85 five-axis linkage precision CNC EDM machine tool from Beijing Institute of Electro-machining/Beijing Dumont CNC Technology Co., Ltd. is the second product to be listed in the catalogue after the first selection of “AA50 five-axis linkage precision CNC EDM machine tool”. It proves once again the recognition of the industry and users for our five-axis linkage EDM machine tool and lays a strong foundation for the Beijing Institute of Electro-machining to better serve the military industry.

The catalogue is initiated and created by the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and its selection is organized by the China Association for Peaceful Uses of Military Technology and China Machine Tool & Tool Builders’ Association. The N85 five-axis linkage precision CNC EDM machine tool is the industrialization product of 04 scientific and technological achievements of National Science and Technology Major Project undertaken by the Beijing Institute of Electro-machining. It has five-axis linkage function and has obtained the product application verification in AECC Xi’an Aero-Engine Ltd. It has successfully completed the production and processing tasks of key parts such as aero-engine casing and marine gas turbine. The successful development of this equipment has broken the international monopoly of five-axis linkage precision EDM equipment, and has greatly improved the model development response speed of key components in the fields of China’s aviation and aerospace, energy, weapons, etc.
