Recently, under the guidance of the Department of Achievements Transformation and Regional Innovation of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, the 2018 China Annual Report on Achievements Transformation in Science and Technologies prepared by the China Research Association for Management of Scientific and Technological Achievements, the National Center for Science & Technology Evaluation and the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China was officially released. The report analyses and studies the transformation of scientific and technological achievements of 2766 research and development institutions and colleges and universities in 2017. Among the six evaluation indexes involving research and development institutions, the BJAST is in the front rank. 

In terms of transformation of scientific and technological achievements, BJAST ranks 27th in China in the “contract amount for the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements by research and development institutions through technology transfer, technology development, technology consultation and technology service”. In the “contract amount for the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements by research and development institutions as well as colleges and universities through technology transfer, technology development, technology consultation and technology service”, the BJAST ranks 84th in China. In terms of the index of “contract amount for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements by research and development institutions through transfer, permission, price and investment”, BJAST ranks 51st in China. In terms of the index of “contract amount for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements by research and development institutions as well as colleges and universities through transfer, permission, price and investment”, BJAST ranks 100th in China. In terms of personnel incentives, BJAST ranks 61st in China in the “total amount of individual cash and shares awarded by research and development institutions and as well as colleges and universities”. In the “total amount of individual cash and shares awarded by research and development institutions”, BJAST ranks 26th in China.

As the only large-scale multi-disciplinary scientific research institution affiliated to the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, the BJAST has always attached great importance to scientific and technological innovation. It has steadily and solidly promoted the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. In the future, the BJAST will further strengthen the construction of the transformation capacity of scientific and technological achievements, promote the motivation of scientific researchers to transform scientific and technological achievements, and accelerate the transformation and application of innovative achievements.
