From August 17th to 18th, the 2023 Urban Lifeline Safety and Development Conference was successfully held in Beijing. The conference was hosted by Beijing Underground Pipeline Association, and the BJAST, as the chairman institution of Beijing Underground Pipeline Association, actively participated in organizing and supporting the conference. With the theme of "Enhancing Resilient City Construction and Technology Empowering Urban Lifelines", the conference brought together central and local government leaders, academicians and experts, industry leaders, leading representatives, industry elites, etc., to conduct special reports, technology and experience exchanges. Shao Jinwen, member of the Leading Party Members’ group and vice president of BJAST, attended the conference and released the "Urban Lifeline Safety Engineering Monitoring Technology Product Catalog", focusing on the safe operation of urban lifelines and the construction of resilient cities, and introducing new products, new processes and new technologies for safety supervision smart platforms and risk scenarios such as gas explosions, urban waterlogging, underground pipeline interaction risks, third-party construction damage, water supply bursts, bridge collapses, road collapses, etc.

This conference is a specific measure to implement the joint construction of the Capital City Management Research Center between our academy and the Municipal Urban Management Committee, deepen the exchanges between our academy and relevant government departments, social units, scientific research institutes, etc. in the field of urban lifeline, and contribute our institute's strength to building Beijing into a world-class harmonious and livable city.
