On May 19, Yan Aoshuang, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, visited Beijing Planetarium, listened to the BJAST’s report on the integration into the construction of Beijing International Science and Technology Innovation Center and scientifically improve smart aging, and conducted discussions. Wu Jianmin, Deputy Secretary of the leading party members’ group and president of the BJAST, Gong Bo, Deputy Director of the Office of Education, Science, Culture and Health of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, and Tian Yu, second-level Inspector, Liu Qingjun, member of the leading party members’ group and vice president, and Liu Ziliang, leader of the BJAST, attended the meeting.

Yan Aoshuang affirmed the achievements made by the BJAST in scientific and technological research and development, achievement transformation and reform and innovation in recent years. She pointed out that the BJAST should base itself on the development positioning in the new era, be brave in pioneering and innovating, focus on advantageous scientific research fields, and enhance the core competitiveness of scientific research, aiming to make greater contributions to accelerating the construction of the Beijing International Science and Technology Innovation Center.
