On January 19, the "Beijing Xi Jinping Research Center for Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era in 2020 Work Commendation and 2021 Work Deployment Meeting" was held in the Beijing city sub-center administrative office area. In 2020, the BJAST Base first made great achievements and won the "Three Excellent". BJAST Base was rated as the Excellent Research Base of Beijing Xi Jinping Research Center for Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era. Fang Li, the director of BJAST Base, was named as an outstanding researcher. Ren Xiaogang, executive deputy director of the Office of BJAST Base, was rated as an outstanding worker.

At the meeting, Du Feijin, member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and minister of the propaganda department of the Municipal Party Committee, summed up the experience of the research center and made arrangements for the work of the research center and research base in 2021.

Fang Li spoke as a representative of the "Excellent Researcher", summing up his experience on the study of Xi Jinping's thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era and the construction of the BJAST Base. First, we attach great importance to overall planning and make base construction the top priority of the BJAST. Second, we implement the requirements of the research center with high standards and strive to deliver high-quality results. Third, we work hard to make up for shortcomings, and consult the other base for advice. Fourth, we highlight key points and seize the main propaganda front.

In 2020, BJAST Base published 16 theoretical articles in the "Three Newspapers and One Journal", including 6 headline articles, won 5 projects from Beijing Social Science Foundation and Beijing Research Center, including 1 major project and 4 key projects, and held two academic conferences. In 2020, BJAST Base has repeatedly ranked among the top in the quarterly ranking of research centers.
