On January 15, Xu Xinchao, party member of the Leading Party Members’ Group and deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and his entourage visited the BJAST for investigation and discussion. Xu Xinchao and his entourage investigated and visited the operation of information platforms such as "Science Headlines" of the Beijing Institute of Science and Technology Information, and listened to reports from the Beijing Institute of Science and Technology Information, Beijing Research Center for Science of Science, and Beijing Decision-making Consultant Center. Xu Xinchao hoped that the BJAST could strengthen the team building and provide active support for the establishment and operation of the Beijing National Laboratory under the background of the Beijing International Science and Technology Innovation Center and the "two districts" construction. BJAST could conduct in-depth research on the implementation of related policies such as the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and provide precise services for innovation entities. In terms of intelligence and information, BJAST could strengthen the docking with the relevant platforms of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission to provide high-quality information support for leaders in scientific decision-making.

Zheng Huanmin said that the BJAST will take the reform of public institutions as an opportunity, take the "14th Five-Year" as a new starting point, concentrate its strengths, build a stable team, conduct in-depth research in national laboratories and other aspects. And it will increase the integration of government scientific and technological work, actively respond to the major needs of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, ensure the provision of leading support, and make due contributions to the construction of Beijing International Science and Technology Innovation Center.
