On June 23, the ninth episode of the online international forum "The Coronavirus Pandemic & Global Changes" by BJAST was presented via Bilibili and Huya. This lecture was presided over by Li Junkai, Director of the Division of International Cooperation of BJAST. Mr. Guy P. Brasseur, an Academician of the Academia Europaea and a Senior Scientist of the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, was invited to introduce "How to treat air pollution based on COVID-19 case". So far, the series of International Forum have successfully finished.

In the face of the pandemic, BJAST launched “The Coronavirus Pandemic & Global Changes” International Forum in 2020. Nine famous domestic and foreign experts from China, the UK, Canada, Germany, Japan, and other countries were invited to interpret the impact of the pandemic on the economy, science and technology, industry, psychology, environmental protection, and other fields. The lecture series consists of nine lectures broadcast at 8:00 p.m. every Tuesday from April 28th to June 23rd. The average number of viewers for every lecture was about 50,000 to 60,000, and the cumulative viewership was several hundred thousand viewers. In future, it is planned to collect and collate the opinions of the experts into a book and publish it under the title, China and the World under the Global Changes-Views of Internationally Renowned Experts. Plans are also underway to invite more acclaimed Chinese and international experts for the 2021 New Year Special Program of the International Forum and for monthly lectures. Adhering to the concept of "creating an international forum, spreading scientific spirit, and building a community with a shared future for mankind", BJAST will use the internet and big data platforms to further promote scientific spirit and positive energy, and fulfill its social responsibility and mission as a scientific research institution.
